Hello everyone! Today I am going to show you something you never saw before! If you ever heard of the lucky blocks mod, it is a really cool mod. If you haven't, click here to learn.
A lot of you might have tried the lucky blocks mod yourself, but I bet a lot of you didn't. If you didn't, that might be because Minecraft Forge mod installer might not work on your computer, or maybe you just do not want mods because of lag or because of viruses.
Well, now you do not even need Mods! I have come up with a way to have lucky blocks in your world without mods or textures or anything like that really! All you need to do is follow these steps:
Well, now you do not even need Mods! I have come up with a way to have lucky blocks in your world without mods or textures or anything like that really! All you need to do is follow these steps:
1. Place down a gold block. That is your lucky block. Find the coordinates of the gold block by pressing F3, or F3+Shift for Windows 8 or 10. Type them in the chat and copy it. For example, the gold block coordinates for me are "-986 4 248".
2.Give yourself a command block by typing "/give @p minecraft:command_block" in the chat. Set it down at around 20 blocks away from the gold block. Type this command inside the command block:
/testforblock (Gold Block Coordinates) minecraft:gold_block
/testforblock (Gold Block Coordinates) minecraft:gold_block
3. If you use minecraft 1.9 or above, set the command block to a repeating command block and place a redstone block next to it.
If you use minecraft 1.8 or below, beside the command block, dig down a block, and set down a command block. In that command block, type in "/setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:redstone_block 0 destroy".
Place down a redstone block on top of the new command block. (You might want to do "/gamerule doTileDrops false" if you want to prevent lag.
4. Set down a redstone comparator facing the opposite way of the command block. Make a line of Redstone dust. Make sure it touches the comparator and it looks like what it does below. (The command block should be a repeating command block if you are using 1.9+)
5. Behind the redstone dust wire, make a BUD-switch circuit. Hook it up with redstone dust to another command block.
6. In the command block, key in this command:
/execute @r[name=LuckyBlock] ~ ~2 ~ /setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:redstone_block 0 destroy
/execute @r[name=LuckyBlock] ~ ~2 ~ /setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:redstone_block 0 destroy
7. Next to the redstone work you have just made, place down a command block. Copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) this command into the command block:
/summon ArmorStand ~ ~1 ~ {CustomName:LuckyBlock,CustomNameVisible:1}
/summon ArmorStand ~ ~1 ~ {CustomName:LuckyBlock,CustomNameVisible:1}
8. If you use a mouse to play minecraft, look at the command block and do Ctrl+MiddleClick. That should give you a copy of the command block with the command inside of the command block. Now, you want to make an array of command blocks. The cool thing is that you do not need to copy and paste the command for this to work. However, if you don't have a mouse, you need to copy and paste the command into every command block.
9. Activate all of the command blocks with redstone and watch the magic happen.
10. Set a command block 1 block above all of the command blocks.
11. Now here is the fun part. Go into one of the command blocks and type in a good or bad command. This command has a small chance of executing when the lucky block is broken. If you are having a hard time coming up with ideas, click here. Make sure every command block has a command
12. Now you are done! Break the lucky block and see what you get! If you want more things that could happen, go ahead and add more command blocks!
One last thing. If you have a YouTube account and you want to share this work, BE SURE TO CREDIT ME! I have come up with the idea, so the only person you should credit is me. (PS_plays)
